End of year report on Nitrogen leaching under Lucerne at the Tihoi lysimiter facility 2011-12

Landcare Research has been contracted by the Lake Taupo Protection Trust to investigate nitrogen leaching under lucerne near Tihoi on the western side of Lake Taupo. The contract runs for 3 years with the project starting in July 2011.   This report covers installation of a lysimiter array and the planting of lucerne, and presents analytical data for the leachate and herbage collected until February 2012.
